🏖 Map of beaches and coves in Menorca

Updated:

The most beautiful white-sand, turquoise-water coves in Menorca are on the south coast: Cala Macarella, Cala Macarelleta, Cala en Turqueta, Cala Mitjana and Son Saura. The north coast offers wilder, unspoilt beaches such as Cala Pregonda, Cavalleria and Cala Pilar. The most family-friendly, with services and shallow water, are Cala Galdana, Son Bou and Punta Prima.

Menorca has more than 100 beaches and coves, and they don't all serve the same purpose. The south holds the white-sand, turquoise-water coves (Macarella, Turqueta, Mitjana); the north has wilder beaches of reddish or dark sand shaped by the tramontana wind (Pregonda, Cavalleria, Cala Pilar).

On this map you can filter coves by what you're after: the postcard turquoise ones, the unspoilt service-free coves reached on foot, the family-friendly beaches with services and shallow water, or those with parking nearby. Each point includes how to get there.

Tip: in July and August the most famous coves fill up and car parks close mid-morning; go early or at sunset, or pick an unspoilt northern beach for space.
